Khonsa, Jun 24: A high-power committee headed by Health Minister Alo Libang, Arunachal East MP Tapir Goa, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, Secretary Health P. Parthiban and Chief Engineer A. Lego on Wednesday inspected the proposed site at Charju for establishment of the Zonal Hospital in Tirap district.
The team also inspected the sites for Polytechnic College, Kheti and the existing General Hospital, Khonsa. Later in the evening, accompanied by Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte the visiting team heard the demands and suggestions from the MLAs Wanglam Sawin, Wanglin Lowangdong and local people. A memorandum seeking establishment of the Zonal Hospital was also submitted by the locals to the team. 
Earlier, the committee was warmly welcome by the above MLAs and Khonsa West MLA Chakat Aboh, DC Tirap Bhanu Prabha, SP Kardak Riba, administrative officers, HoDs, public leaders, chiefs, GBs and locals at Charju, one of the proposed sites donated by the villagers of Bunting.
Later on the day, Chief Secretary discussed the security concerns of Tirap with the DC, SP, Commander 25 Sector Assam Rifles Brigadier Vijay Chahar, Commandant 6 AR Col. A.K. Das at the office of the 6 AR and appreciated the efforts of the security forces, district police and DA in maintaining peace in the district.
The CS accompanied by the Health Secretary also visited the RK Sarada Mission School, Khonsa and Ramakrishna Mission School, Deomali wherein he interacted with the Secretary Mataji of RKSM, Khonsa and the Secretary Maharaj of RKMS Narottamnagar. DIPRO
