ITANAGAR, Feb 24:

 

Minister Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Alo Libang, while chairing a review meeting of SIRD, Rural Development stressed the need for sincerity, dedication  and work culture with transparency within the  department officials and staff.

 

Reviewing all the schemes and projects undertaken under SIRD & RGPSA, Libang emphasized on timely completion of development schemes and exhorted the officials to complete the pending schemes by March next and sought full report on their status.

 

Stressing on the need of coordination between the official to clerk level, Libang called for united effort of all staff to achieve a comprehensive result and stated that “development of state would only be possible if there is full support received from government employees as well as general public systematically.” He cautioned the officers that their performances will be examined and scrutinized from time to time and warned of stern action to those irregular and indolent officers and staff.

Parliamentary Secretary (RD & Panchayat) Mama Natung in his address suggested conducting the training programme routinely so that the grassroots beneficiaries like PRI leaders are hugely benefitted and can discharge their duties sincerely and effectively. He requested the officers to prepare proper budget as per schemes and programmes so that it could be taken up to the government for consideration at the grassroots level.

Secretary (RD) Dani Salu, Special Secretary (RD) Nyali Ete, Director SIRD B.J Duia, Director (RD) Duli Kamduk also spoke on the occasion.

Deputy Director (RE & PAMPORD) Cum SNO RGPSA L.K. Kabak highlighted on “Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan” and its performances, while Deputy Director (NRM, Training & Research)/Estt Dr. V.K. Sharma presented the structure of the SIRD.
