ITANAGAR, Apr 20: In view of the extension of lockdown period and unrelenting duty performed by healthcare workers at various checkgates across the capital region, Health Minister Alo Libang today visited Hollongi check gate and interacted with the healthcare workers.
During the interaction, the minister was briefed about the challenges and basic requirements of the staff executing their duty at the check gates.
Acknowledging their crucial contribution, Libang assured to provide all basic requirements such as N95 mask, gloves, sanitizer among others.  ‘The health staff who are at the check gates are the first to encounter with the people entering Arunachal, so their safety is our priority,’ stated Libang.
Further speaking to media, Minister informed that department will provide required materials to all the staff including police and magistrate who are on COVID-19 duty at the check gates.
Responding to query on vehicles carrying essential items and entering Arunachal from Red zones, Minister asserted that proper SOP will be adhered to and implemented on all vehicles entering Arunachal Pradesh.
‘We will also create a mechanism to restrict vehicles coming from COVID-19 Red zone,’ stated Libang.
