ITANAGAR, May 10: Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority organised one day training programme for 130 students of Arunachal Law Academy (ALA) at Banquet Hall, Itangar on Wednesday last.
During the day long programme, the students were informed about the Juvenile Justice (Children’s Care and Protection) Act, 2015 and POCSO, Act, 2012, Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and sexual harassment of women at work place Act, 2013 and others.
Member Secy. APSLSA, Budi Habung spoke on the roles and responsibilities of the State/District Authority in facilitating access to justice etc.
Speaking on the occasion, OSD, APSLSA Dani Belo briefed on the role of Legal Services Authority to provide legal assistance to victim of disaster, Right of transgender and Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011.
