ITANAGAR, Feb 6: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women, (APSCW) Itanagar successfully concluded its three-day long Legal Awareness Programme organized here at Walong, Kibitho, and Hawai under Anjaw District.
The programme covers topics like compulsory Registration of Marriage, Legal Aid, Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, Child Labour & Bonded Labour, Property Rights of Women, Right to Women & Livelihood, POCSO Act 2012, Drug Abuse and its Impact, Breast, and Cervical Cancer etc. The whole programme was sponsored by the National Commission for Women, (NCW), New Delhi.
On the first day of the programme organized here at Conference Hall of IB, Walong, Member Secretary, APSCW, Yame Higio emphasized on promotion of girl child education in society. Member, APSCW, Techi Hunmai spoke about the powers and functions of Commission and Adv. Likha Joya spoke on Child Labour and Bonded Labour, Juvenile Justice Care, and Protection, Child Line.
On the second day, Extra Assistant Commissioner(EAC), Hawai HQ, Vikhelum Bellai, PRIs leaders, Teachers, students attended the programme organized here at Kibitho, Govt. Middle School Kibitho. DIPRO
