ITANAGAR, Feb 8: As a part of its legal awareness outreach programme, District Legal Services Authority, Papum Pare today organised a day-long Free Legal Awareness Camp cum Free Legal Counselling on the auspicious occasion of Reh-Tamladu Festival here at the Mishmi Cultural & Heritage Centre (MCHC) Jollang.
The camp was held under the chairmanship of District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA Papum Pare Nani Grayu and was graced among others by Member Secretary, APSLSA Jaweplu Chai, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Papum Pare Bissomoti Lego and Legal Aid Counsels.
During the camp people gained knowledge about their legal rights and benefits and got free legal counselling and information regarding availability of free legal services, schemes and activities available with the help of Legal Aid Advocates and Para Legal Volunteers.
Encouraged by the response, District Legal Services Authority have decided to participate in all major festivals of Arunachal Pradesh to propagate legal rights awareness.
