BASAR, May 14:

 

A legal aid clinic was opened at the premises of the Additional District & Sessions Court, Basar in West Siang district by Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Budi Habung, on Sunday in the presence of Lobsang Tenzin Addl District & Sessions Judge, Basar among others. An orientation cum induction training for 10 legal aid counsel and 37  Para legal volunteers of Basar sub-division was also conducted in the  Additional District & Sessions Court complex, wherein Budi Habung  spoke on the Legal Services Authority Act, its various schemes, importance of  legal aid clinic, Lok Adalat, etc.

Earlier on May 13 last, two Legal Aid Clinics at Aalo one located at Judicial Lock Up and another at the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Aalo were also formally inaugurated.
