NAMSAI, Aug 6: Namsai became the second district in the state to set up LED billboards in public places with two inaugurations at 2nd Mile and Namsai Club by local MLA Namsai, Chau Zingnu Namchoom.
Also present was Deputy Commissioner Namsai Dr. Tapasya Raghav, Superintendent of Police Ankit Singh, IPS, Administrative officers, Head of Departments of the district.
Namsai is the second district in the state after Papumpare to have LED Billboard in public places which will display various programmes of the Government and will help in dissemination of information to the people of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Namchoom appreciated the administration and concern department for the innovative idea to raise awareness amongst the people. Namsai is an education hub as well as an emerging tourist route of Eastern Arunachal.
Deputy Commissioner said the billboards will help in generating awareness in the district.
MLA also inaugurated a children’s park at the district headquarters today. The facility also has an open gym which will cater to health enthusiasts.
