NAHARLAGUN, Dec 18:  Hundreds of BJP workers, well wishers and social workers today paid homage to late Pramod Joshi, State Organizing Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) at a Shraddhanjai  Sabha organized at Seva Dham in Lekhi Village today.  Late Joshi passed away recently on 7th December at a hospital in New Delhi.
Prominent members including Advisor to Chief Minister Tai Tagak, Vice President BJP Kipa Babu, Tame Phassang, Techi Necha among others attended the tribute.
Throwing light on the contribution of late Joshi, Tagak remembered him as a simple yet visionary man with a mission to serve the downtrodden people of the state. He was a down to earth person who always wore a smile on his face, he said.
Vice President Tame Phassang said late Joshi was a true son of the soil who spent most of his life among the needy and downtrodden especially in Arunachal Pradesh. Late Joshi was an unsung hero of Arunachal Pradesh who contributed immensely to Arunachal and the upliftment  of  its people, he added.
Late Joshi is known for his effort in establishing at least 112 Ekal Vidyalayas were established in remote villages of Kurung Kumey and present Kra Daadi district, facilitated in procuring two ambulance (free) for poor patients and to fetch dead body, established Kamkhya Chatravas for at least 42 poor girls with free education at Pachin, Naharlagun.
