ITANAGAR, Aug 22: The two-day long ‘Rashtriya Ekta Parv’, a programme under “Ek Bharat Sresth Bharat" of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is underway at Chimpu KV II campus.
More than 402 participants from all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in the state including Tinsukia are participating in the two-day event.
In his address, Assistant Commissioner KVS of Tinsukia Region, S V Jaglekar informed that students of 38 Kendriya Vidyalayas from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland are participating in the programme. He said that the programme is one of the biggest platforms they provide to the students of KVs to showcase their talents and learn from each other through interactions. He further informed that out of 402 participants, 87 students and teachers will be shortlisted who will participate in the National Level Rashtra Ekta Parv 2019-20 scheduled to be held at New Delhi from October 31 to November 3 next.
“This is a wonderful opportunity where students from different states come together and exhibit their talents and exchange thoughts and ideas that will help them in becoming better human beings,” he added.
Secretary of Education Dr. Madhu Rani Teotia who attended the inaugural function as Chief Guest said that knowledge gained by the students from this kind of programme is valuable for their growth. She also said that government is working hard to improve and provide quality education to the students.
Director of Higher and Technical Education Dr. Tayek Talom attended the function as Guest of Honour and spoke on the occasion. Principal, KV Lekhapani Pali Sah, Principal, KV NERIST Manveer Singh Meena and Principal, KV No. 2 Itanagar GD Meena also spoke on the occasion.
