ITANAGAR, Feb 6: Honorary Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) Kipa Ajay has been elected as the General Secretary of the newly formed North East Football Association by members of all the Northeastern Football Associations during its first General Conference held in Shillong on February 5 last.
Informing the news of honour, APFA in its official statement said “We extend our heartiest congratulations to Kipa Ajay on his appointment and wish him more success in his new endeavour. We believe that football in Northeast will flourish and reach new heights under his leadership.” The chosen office bearers are: General Secretary (Honorary Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Football Association) Kipa Ajay, President (President, Meghalaya Football Association) Larsing Sawyan, Sr. Vice President (President, Sikkim Football Association) Menla Ethenpa, Vice President (Honorary Secretary, Assam Football Association) H.N Bhrama, Vice President (Honorary Secretary, Mizoram Football Association) Lalnighinglova Hmar, Treasurer (Honorary Secretary, Tripura Football Association) Amit Choudhury, Joint Secretary (President, Nagaland Football Association) Neibou Sekhose and Joint Secretary (President, Manipur Football Association) Ratan Kumar Singh. It needs mentioning that North East Football Association has been formed this year by all the State Football Associations in the Northeast to take ahead the region’s efforts collectively for development of the game here.
