KHONSA, Oct 10: Director General of Police RP Upadhyaya today visited Khonsa to take stock of security and law & order arrangement in view of the ensuing bye election to the Khonsa West assembly constituency in Tirap District.
During the visit, he briefed all officers deployed on duty and boosted their morale. The briefing was followed by a closed-door meeting with IB officials.
Later DGP met the staff of the Engineering department and reviewed the infrastructure development of Police Department in the district. The meeting was followed by sampark sabha in which the police chief heard the grievances of staff and ensured early redressal of genuine demands.
Upadhyaya will be interacting with senior Army & Paramilitary officers to review the security scenario in TLC region with special focus on Khonsa bye-election on Friday. Further, he will be interacting with both the candidates of Khonsa bye-election, gaon burahs , followed by a visit to a polling station. (PRO)
