Khonsa, Jan 20:  55-Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin on Monday inaugurated four important infrastructure facilities here in presence of DC Tirap P.N. Thungon, SP Kardak Riba, DDSE Pubi Lombi and other HoDs.
The inaugurated facilities included the Principal Office building at Government Higher Secondary School, Khonsa funded under SIDF, 2017-18 (Rs. 30 Lakhs, executing agency BDO, Khonsa), four Type-III Quarters for GA  funded under Chief Minister Innovative Challenge Fund (Rs. 100 Lakhs, executing agency DRDA), Multi-storied Iconic  Public Toilets funded under the above fund (Rs. 71 Lakhs) and Headmaster cum Staff Room (funded under Relief from Highway, Executing Agency DRDA). Sawin appreciated the DC for taking initiative in creation of the infrastructures in the district and praised the executing agencies for completing the works within schedule. He further appealed the teaching/student community of GHSS and Government Town Upper Primary School to take care of the assets.
Earlier, DC praised the MLA for his support in establishing the facilities.

DDSE Pubi Lombi, Principal GHSS, Khonsa N. Akhang, Headmaster, Government Town Upper Primary School Tohua Mesia and TA(DRDA) Er. Telem Kitnya spoke on the occasion. A variety of cultural items performed by the students of Government Upper Primary School made the event colourful. DIPRO
