NAMSAI, Dec 13: The 8-day long festival of sports, Khelo India District Level Tournament 2018-19 concluded at an impressive function here today. Declaring the tournament closed, chief guest of the closing ceremony, Bijoy Talukdar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, termed the event as a grand success with huge participation from almost all parts of the district.
CK Mounglang, former ZPC, Namsai district, as  guest of honour, addressing the gathering expressed hope for the up gradation of games and sports. He also termed the ‘’Khelo India’’ initiative a platform for the young talents in the district to showcase their talents to the world.
Delivering vote of thanks, R. Mihu, District Sports Officer, Namsai, thanked each and every individual who contributed their bit for the successful conduct of the tournament. He thanked the District Administration, Namsai for overall and continuous support during the conduct of the tournament.
In Football (Boys), Tai- Brothers F.C, emerged winners beating Adi-Ningroo Village in penalty shootout 4-3.  In the girls category, GSS Rangalibeel beat GSS Kumari.
GHSS Lathao lifted the winner trophy for Volleyball (Boys) beating GSS Manhofai in straight sets and GHSS Mahadevpur (Girls) beat GHSS, Namsai in straight sets.
