PASIGHAT, Sep 11: The Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inaugurated a steel bridge built over Remi river near Miglung village in East Siang district constructed under PMGSY scheme. He also inaugurated the Ruksin Guest House constructed by RWD department.
Later the Chief Minister attended the Bango Solung festival at Ruskin along with Dy. CM Chowna Mein, State BJP President Tapir Gao, Education Minister Honchun Ngandam, Health Minister Alo Libang, advisor to CM Lombo Tayeng, Lok Sabha MP (East) Ninong Ering, Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng, and Pasighat (West) MLA Tatung Jamoh.
Expressing delight in participating in the Solung festival, the Chief Minister lauded the Adi community for their contribution towards the development of Arunachal terming them as the most progressive.
He said without support from the community, establishment of Sainik School at Niglok would not have been possible appreciating the forthcoming nature of the community towards development.
The CM laid emphasis on the preservation of culture and language forming its core effort. He said development is a process that can be achieved at any period of time whereas a culture once lost could not be retrieved.
Responding to the public memorandum, the CM assured support for flood protection in Miglung village area for protection of Remi steel bridge. He also assured to take up work for construction of Mini Secretariat for Ruksin ADC HQ in the next financial year.
The CM said Arunachal should not only lean towards Centre for financial help but also for its handholding support for the judicious and efficient use of the resources. He said time has come for Arunachal to change its mindset and the thought process to become accountable.
