ROING, Dec 15:  Chief Minister Pema Khandu today began his second leg of Arunachal Rising campaign here at Kangkong village. The second leg of the six-day campaign will cover 5 districts - Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Anjaw, Lohit and Siang. The previous leg covered Tirap, Longding, Changlang and Namsai district that concluded on November 8 last. 
Khandu on his arrival at Kangkong village inaugurated the Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp conducted by the district administration. The camp is part of the Arunachal Rising campaign whose objective is to provide government services at the doorstep of the people. He inspected different stalls put up by government departments and gave away certificates, licenses and other benefits to several beneficiaries. He also gave away fours tractors to four beneficiaries under chief minister agriculture mechanization scheme. 
Later, launching the Arunachal Rising Campaign in a simple function, Khandu highlighted on the importance of the campaign and the Sarkar Aapke Dwar. He appreciated the Lower Dibang Valley administration for reaching out to about 15000 beneficiaries through conducting Sarkar Aapke Dwar in eight different locations across the district. Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the pace of such campaigns and lauded the efforts put by the Deputy Commissioner. He said people are now coming to know more about government schemes and said that the very purpose of Arunachal Rising campaign is to bridge the gap between people and the government. 
Chief Minister on the occasion also dedicated projects worth Rs 83 crore to the people of the district. He had earlier inaugurated the academic block of the Jomin Tayeng Government Model Degree College at Jemi Notko and double lane 270-meter bridge over Sissiri river on Bomjir-Paglam road. He also laid the foundation stone for 8km Bomjir Bizari road, 90metre double lane bridge over Sissar river on Bomjir Paglam road, Eze-Mayudia tourist complex and Eklavya Model Residential School. 
Chief Minister on the occasion gave away certificates and cash award to performing ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, progressive farmers and to the winners of the essay writing competition conducted in the district. He also handed over articles procured under CSR provided by HPCL for different schools in the district.
On the occasion DCM Chowna Mein and Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng also spoke. Also present on the occasion were Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi, former MLA Laeta Umbrey, DC Mitali Namchoom and Roing SP Sanjay Sain.
