NEW DELHI, Aug 1: The Old Students' Association (OSA) of Hindu College, University of Delhi organized the 17th Distinguished Alumni Awards-2019 here at the Silver Oak India Habitat Centre on July 27 last with Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, also an alumnus of the college gracing the award ceremony occasion as Chief Guest & renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali as Guest of Honour.
The OSA Hindu College Distinguished Alumni Awards annually recognizes Outstanding Achievers who have excelled in their respective fields and made significant contributions to the society at large. Khandu in his tweet said “It was an absolute honour and delight to be amongst the achievers of my alma mater Hindu College. Humbled to attend the 17th Distinguished Alumni Awards 2019 as Chief Guest organised by Old Students' Association, Hindu College.”
The 17th Distinguished Alumni Awards-2019 felicitated various alumnus of the Hindu College.
OSA Special Awards went to Hardeep Singh Puri (IFS Retd.), Rao Inderjit Singh, Ashok Lavasa (IAS Retd.) and Chief Justice Ravindra S. Bhat. Distinguished Alumni Awards were given to 11 personalities who have made remarkable contributions in their respective field ranging from administration, legal, education, literature, sports and film making. There were also two recipients of Young Achievers Awards.
Speaker Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, Pasang Dorjee Sona was also present on the occasion.
