SHERGAON, Sep 13: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today visited Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) here accompanied by MLAs Jambey Tashi, Phurpa Tsering, Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, Tsering Tashi and former Speaker TN Thongdok.
Acknowledging VKV’s exemplary role in laying a strong foundation for education in Arunachal, Chief Minister said that the memorandum submitted by the school for its development will be honoured. In his advice to the students, he urged them to lead a disciplined life, focus on having a strong educational foundation to face the cut-throat competitions ahead and participate in co-curricular activities as well. Addressing the public gathering, he promised that the memorandum submitted by Shergaon Village Council for construction of Shergaon-Demachang Road and extension of Shergaon-Doimara-Foothill-Misamari-Thelamara Road would be taken up in consultation with local MLA and DC. CM further informed that guest houses at Balemu, Tenzingaon and Shergaon for boosting tourism had been sanctioned and construction will start this year.
Chief Minister also held a small public meeting at Domkho village and after receiving a memorandum from the locals, he assured to take up the demand for a mini hydel project and conversion of the Health Sub-Centre to a Primary Health Centre. CMO
