KALAKTANG, Sep 12: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today assured all support of the state government for the development of the border town of Balemu. Khandu said the town being located near the Arunachal-Assam border, the administrative headquarters of Circle Office in Balemu has been upgraded to Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) office to strengthen the administration.
He was speaking at a public meeting at Balemu accompanied by Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering and Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi.
Stating that the place has great opportunity for Agriculture and Horticulture activities, he promised to take up shortage of water issue as top priority. Responding to a public memorandum, he assured to upgrade the Govt Middle School to Secondary level by next academic session.
The CM also encouraged the spirit of competitiveness when applying for government job informing that state government has brought reforms to stop corrupt practices in the recruitment process. He said state government is focusing on education and informed that teacher shortage and subject teachers shortage will be met. CMO
