PASIGHAT, Apr 11:

 

KendriyaVidyalaya, Pasighat has introduced National Cadet Corps (NCC) training as a part of mainstream education curriculum. A NCC wing was inaugurated by East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak on Monday in a colorful function in the school campus.

 

In his inaugural speech, the DC while congratulating the school fraternity was nostalgic about his own days as a senior cadet in the NCC.  Asserting that the various trainings facilitates character building, teach discipline and leadership qualities, Tatak said that NCC is the best platform that also instils spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service among the youth of the Nation.

 

Guest of Honour Col. H. Padmanabhan, of the function asserted that the whole of India feel proud that NCC is included as part of the elementary curriculum in Arunachal Pradesh.It teaches social and civic responsibility, practice national integration and developing social harmony skills, asserted Padmanabhan.

 

 

SP Pranav Tayal in his message said that NCC gives a firsthand opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the Indian armed forces and its various wings.
