NAHARLAGUN, Jan 5: ‘Christianity has brought many positive changes in society,’ said local MLA Techi Kaso while addressing the gathering at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Multipurpose Mission Centre of Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council (APCRCC) here at Papu Nallah today.
Asserting that Christianity through its teaching has helped society to reduce law and order problem, the MLA also termed all religions as equal.
Guest of honour, MLA Seppa (East) Tapuk Taku in his address urged the churches to continue their service for the betterment of the state and its people.
Among others, President Arunachal Christina Forum (ACF) Khoda Apik, President Rev. Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council (APCRCC) Nyakdo Tasar, General Secretary Evan Anand Mengu Doruk also attended the event.
The land measuring 12,7,05 sq mtr amounting to One Crore sixty three lakhs was procured with contribution made by the believers including the state government through PHED Swachh Bharat Mission scheme around (Rs22 lakhs) while Chief Minister Pema Khandu contributed around 25 lakhs for the said building, informed the members.
