Ziro, Jun 8: The  much awaited  2-lanning construction work  of Joram Koloriang road  was collectively  flagged off today by four ministers of the state from KM 20 to KM 32.050 & KM 32.050 to KM 44.00 here at Talo village (Jalvi).
The flag-off ceremony was participated by the Minister of Home & Inter-state Border Affairs, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Parliamentary Affairs Bamang Felix, Minister Education and Cultural Affairs & Dept. of Indigenous Affairs Taba Tedir, Minister Agriculture , Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary  and Dairy Development Tage Taki and Minister Youth Affairs & Sports and Water Resources Mama Natung.
Bamang Felix while addressing the public said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to ensure the completion of this road. At the same time the district administration and police should be more vigilant and identify individuals creating ruckus and hindrance without any fear, he added. “I will also personally monitor the progress of this road and ensure frequent visits to the camp office at Ziro,” he added while also suggesting NHIDCL to streamline the earth cutting process. ‘Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan’ that would involve youths, Goan Buras and Goan Buris, CBOs etc to contain law and order issues  would also be launched soon, Felix added.
“One of the most important point in my election manifesto was the clearance of this road,” said Taba Tedir, who is also the local MLA. “This belt can be the agriculture and horticulture corridor of the state if this communication bottleneck is cleared,” remarked Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc Tage Taki. 
Minister Sports and Youth Affairs Mama Natung, DC Lower Subansiri Chukhu Takar and GM (P), NHIDCL Prabhakar Kumar also spoke on the occasion. Among others, MLA Balo Raja, HoDs, senior public leaders of the area, Goan Buras & Goan Buris, representatives from ANSU also attended the program.
This stretch of Joram Koloriang road marred with compensation controversies is coming up  from KM 20.00 to KM 32.050 at a cost of 103.48 crore and from KM 32.050 to KM 44.00 (Lower Subansiri and Kra Daadi border) at a cost of 102.63 crore. Dipro.
