ITANAGAR, Jul 13:Prominent Congress leader, Jaya Joram has been appointed as state convener of Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangthan, Arunachal Pradesh Unit on Friday by ex-MP cum Chairperson, RGPRS, Meenakshi Natrajan.  

RGPRS is a wing of All India Congress Committee (AICC) formed in 2007 with an objective to build national consciousness regarding devolution of power to the people at the grassroots level by expanding their political opportunities and participation in Panchayati Raj institutions.
