PASIGHAT, May 17:   

 

A joint team comprising of Deputy Commissioner, Pasighat, Director Elementary Education, Jt. Director Elementary Education, DDSE Pasighat, Director Industries, Jt. Director Industries and DDI Pasighat inspected the Sainik School site at IGC Niglok on Tuesday.

 

The team inspected the 100 acres of land demarcated for establishment of Sainik School and other ongoing construction works such as boundary wall and flood protection besides taking stock of the renovated infrastructures under IGC Niglok for temporary use of Sainik School till the permanent structures are built.

 

To Director Industries, Taru Talo’s request to the education department to provide funds for flood protection works as the school site is flood prone during rainy season, DC Tatak also suggested the department to take up necessary measures. Tatak also directed the Project Manager, IGC Niglok to remain vigil and monitor the construction works being executed by WRD department to ensure quality.

 

The school was supposed to be made functional by academic session of 2017-18, but due to certain technical reason, it couldn’t materialize, informed DDSE, Jongge Yirang. However, after verifying the works, Director Elementary Education Tapi Gao has assured that it will be made functional by the academic session of 2018-19.
