Roing, Nov 7: An intensive 2-day school tour programme for Lower Dibang Valley district was undertaken by the Joint Director of Secondary Education Marken Kadu along with DDSE Ego Doye, BEOs and ISSE Coordinator on November 6 and 7.
The team visited GHSSs at Roing, Bolung and Dambuk and GSSs Roing, Mayu, Jia and Parbuk. During the course of the tours, Joint Director interacted with the Heads of Schools, PGTs, TGTs, PETs and students and had an intensive discussion on various academic issues like Pre Board Examination, criterion of 33 % minimum attendance, availability/ shortage of subject teachers, text books, lab equipment, sports items, timely completion of syllabus, academic progress and quality enhancement issues. He advised the students and teachers to follow moral values, be punctual, sincere and hardworking and assured all possible help. One pertinent issue which needed immediate attention, according to him, was the early release of funds in connection with the running of the 50-bedded Model Residential Hostel, Mayu.
He also visited the girls hostel running temporarily in a rented building and the ongoing construction site of upcoming boys & girls hostel in the compounds of GSS Mayu and Roing. DIPRO
