Itanagar, Aug 26: State Level Science Seminar 2019 on the topic ‘Periodic Table of Chemical Elements: Impact on Human Welfare’ was conducted here at the auditorium hall of Dera Natung Government College on August 23 last.
19 students from various districts of the state participated in the seminar with Jimi Dirchi from VKV, Balijan Papum Pare district securing 1st position and Minjom Taso from VKV, Oyan School from East Siang district and Nokman Wangpan from R.K. Mission, Narottam, Tirap district adjudged 2nd and 3rd respectively. By clinching the 1st rank, Jimi Dirchi will now represent Arunachal Pradesh in the national level competition to be held at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati.
Principal, Government Polytechnic College, Itanagar Dr. A.K Tripathi was the Chief Guest who advised the participants to develop skill-oriented thinking, besides advising the teachers to make complex topics lucid during classroom lectures. Director of Secondary Education Gania Leij who chaired the programme advised the participants not get frustrated if they didn't came first in the competition and exhorted them to strive for the best in next attempt.
