NAHARLAGUN, Dec 12: Pool A winner Odisha will lock horns against Pool B runner up Jharkhand in the first semi final of the ongoing Hero Sub Junior National Football Championship 2018 while, host Pool A runner up Arunachal will face Pool B topper Mizoram in the second semi final on Thursday to be played at R.G Stadium, Naharlagun.
“All Semi Finals will be played on the same day. A slight change in the timing of first match has been done, now the first semi final will take place at 1:30 PM instead of 2 PM. Timing of second match is unchanged, it will take place at 6 PM,” informed John Neelam Director, Competitions, APFA.
“So far the Championship has been a great success in terms of the way the games were conducted. We are ready to work even harder for the knock out phase of the tournament to make it a grand success,” said Kipa Ajay, Secretary APFA.
"We are very fortunate that Anil Kamat, AGS and Competition Director of All India Football Federation will be arriving at Naharlagun on our invitation to witness the Semi Finals and Final Match of the Championship," he further said.
He also informed that scouting teams from AIFF which includes National Youth (Boys) Coach, Bibiano Fernandes and National Women’s Team Coach, Maymol Rocky are going to conduct trials for Boys and Girls on December 16, 17 and 18 at R.G Stadium.
