ITANAGAR, Apr 17: Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar digitally inaugurated the Commerce Block of Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar from Silver Oak, India Habitat Center, New Delhi in the presence of Minister Education Honchun Ngandam, PS (Home & Education) Pani Taram, Commissioner Education, Hage Kojeen and Secretary (Education) Bidol Tayeng. The project has been funded from Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).

The long felt need of the commerce faculties and students of the college for a separate building dedicated to Commerce Stream only has been fulfilled with the completion of this project. The building with G+2 storied has 3 classrooms, HoD room, Faculty rooms, Computer room, Students Common room, Toilets for boys and girls with 24 hour water supply.  All classrooms are equipped with modern technology like projector, computer etc.

While participating in the inauguration programme from the launching site, Pani Taram advised the students and the college community to maintain the new asset. He also emphasized on cleanliness of the college campus and requested the college authority to conduct regular cleanliness activities as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. While thanking the RUSA Mission Authority, MHRD, he requested for more funds under RUSA programme to this remote state.
