Basar, Nov 3: The 2nd Jarbom Gamlin State Level Sub-Junior & Junior Boxing Championship commenced with a grand opening, graced by DC Leparada Duly Kamduk & Ex- Minister Eken Riba as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
The first bout was played between Tali Taba from Capital Complex vs Dolang Sonam from Kra Daddi under 46 kg weight category where the latter came out victorious in front of a positive audience from the nascent district of Leparada. The ceremony was hosted by Organising Secretary Dakge Riba, followed by welcome speech by Organisng Chairman Hento Karga & vote of thanks by Organising Vice-Chairman Er. Kento Riba. Leparada Amateur Boxing Association also submitted a memorandum to the DC for the betterment of the game in the district which was assured to look after. Secretary General Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association (AABA) Dr Tadang Minu expressed gratefulness to MLA Gokar Basar for bringing world class boxing ring for the Boxing Academy in Basar.
In the championship, 13 districts are participating with around 200 boxers in the categories of sub-junior & junior girls and boys. All AABA Executive Members were present. ES Newsdesk
