ITANAGAR, Aug 23: On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), Chief Minister Pema Khandu and State Legislative Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona have extended their warm greetings to the people of the state.
In his message, Governor said that the day marks the beginning of the end of darkness and evil forces dominating earth. Reminding of the profound impact that Lord Krishna’s birth and life have on Indian culture, philosophy and values, he stressed on imbibing the fundamental principles espoused in Bhagwat Gita for the benefit of humanity.
May the festival of Janmashtami inspire us to inculcate best action, just action and right action, Governor wished in his message.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu while conveying his best wishes and greetings on the occasion, called upon all, irrespective of religion and faith to celebrate the festival with true spirit of harmony and peace.
“Today is a very precious day when someone special was born to fight against inhumanity. Happy Krishna Janmashtami and may all the delights of life and dreams come true,” he said in his message.
Sona in his greetings expressed hope that the occasion will usher in an era of peace, harmony and prosperity in the state and called upon people to participate in the celebrations with harmony and spirit. Newsdesk
