ITANAGAR, Jul 8: As a  part of the  Jan Bhagidaari Scheme which  is an effort to ensure greater participation of people for the betterment of society  by inviting their suggestions and ideas on a wide range of social issues, awards for the best three suggestion givers have been announced.
The first prize which carries a cash award of Rs 1 lakh has been bagged by Narang Tabin for his suggestion on reforms that could be initiated for the education sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Tabin has suggested for starting a Free Residential Coaching Academy for Competitive Examinations for the Arunachalee students as the hefty fees charged by the private coaching institutes are beyond the capacity of most aspirants. According to him, this Free Residential Coaching academy can be started by partnering with RGU, NERIST or any other educational institutions that can provide the required faculty infrastructure for the time being. Remedial Coaching Classes for school and college students who perform poorly in studies, introduction of  English Speaking Course, Artificial Intelligence, Early Childhood Care and Yoga Education in schools also formed parts of his suggestions. Need for vigil  over  Private Educational Institutions particularly over the quality of faculty was also highlighted. 
The second prize winner Kennedy Bagra, Director of '100 Days of De-addiction cum Rehabilitation', an initiative of Mothers Vision has suggested for an integrated solution to check the problems of drug addiction. Categorising  the drug addicts into three categories, ‘Use, Misuse and Abuse’ he has suggested for appropriate interventions by the government, family members and rehabilitation centres in these stages to bring the hapless victims back to normal life.  The prize carries a cash award  of Rs 50000 thousand.
Arunachal Pradesh Women's Welfare Society is the winner of the third prize, which is a  cash reward of  Rs thirty thousand. APWWS has suggested for creating a new rehabilitation centre for those dependent on drugs & alcohol in the state capital, besides strengthening of the existing de-addiction infrastructure and revival of those that  have gone defunct for want of funds in Lohit and Namsai. Capital and  Siang Valley also need special attention of the government with facilities for vocational training and other life skills to rehabilitate those who recover from addiction. Construction of juvenile home, institution for children with special needs, establishment of State Child Right Commission, economic rehabilitation of widows and abandoned women, maternity and childcare centres in districts, additional fund for destitute and working women hostel are the other major points of their suggestions.
