Kimin, Jan 16: 10th BN ITBP Kimin through its Himveer Wives Welfare Association organised a donation event here at Kakoi village titled “Choti Choti Khusiyaan” on January 15 last.
During the event, items such as clothes, blankets, salt, matchstick boxes, medicines etc. were handed over to the Anganwadi workers for use of villagers during monsoon when surrounding villages get cut off due to flooding in Bogi river.
A medical camp was also organized by Base Hospital, ITBP Kimin where large number of villagers were examined by CMO (SG) Dr. Meeta Metrey and CMO of the hospital Dr. Deepak Metre. The camp was presided over by Chief Patron HWWA, 10th BN ITBP Kimin Varsha Shobhan Rana who emphasized the need of social welfare and upliftment of poor and deprived villagers through all means including camps of this kind and advised the villagers to take care of their health, hygiene and children’s education. The villagers were visibly happy with the kind gesture of the ITBP personnel.
