ITANAGAR, Feb 2: The Itafort UPHC witnessed its first delivery  with the birth of Baby Itani Sharma, born to Kanchan and RK Sharma, informed MO in-charge Dr.Kabak Tamar. 
The delivery was conducted by Dr.RadheAkang and Dr.PuminHiri and assisted by other staff of the UPHC. With the first delivery, the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan expressed hope that the UPHC will now cater to the needs of many more patients.
The DC congratulated the whole team of UPHC Itafort which has a high number of patients inflow and has been rendering its services since last many years. He has also urged the residents ofItanagar to avail the services of the health centre which also has an ambulance service of its own. 
Dr. Tamar informed that the UPHC also has state’s first e-hospital set up under the initiatives of DC Dhawan which brings add-on advantages in terms of organized hospital management, online registration system, paperless medical services,medical records of each patient through unique ID and effective referral mechanism etc. He also expressed hope that with the first  delivery, the UPHC will be able to offer its services to the needy patients.              DMO Dr Tasso KampoSubu informed that the lone Government UPHC Itafortlocated at heart of capital  iscatering huge population specially poor people where facilities are made available now for pregnant ladies and children under JSSK ( JananiSishuSurokshaKaryakaram) with free antenatal checkup,freediagnosis,free drugs ,free transportation.UnderJananiSurokshaYojna (JSY) delivered mother gets incentive ofRs 600 and ASHA gets Rs 400. DulariKanya scheme girl child gets fixed deposit ofRs 20000. There will also be incentivization of Rs 1000 to mother for full immunisation under 1 year etc  CMAAY forms will also be made available.
