Itanagar, Apr 28: Secretary IPR, Himanshu Gupta on Tuesday in a video conference with all the DIPROs of the districts has stressed on creating more mass awareness about the Covid-19 pandemic.
While congratulating the DIPROs for their commendable work in raising awareness, he said more needs to be done to alleviate the fear psychosis among masses. He mentioned that this year's Arunachal Rising Campaign (ARC) that follows the objective of disseminating information to the last person in every village will focus on health and hygiene awareness and urged the DIPROs to use the institution of Gram Preraks, who have been doing the tedious task of going to the interior villages and creating awareness under ARC.
Highlighting the poor hygiene factor as one of the major deterrent in the fight against Covid-19, Gupta asked the DIPROs to popularise any innovative idea that is being used by their respective district to boost the fight.
Director IPR Obang Tayeng while urging the DIPROs to keep a strict check against fake news, asked them to counter all these at the earliest with appropriate clarifications. He also asked them to popularise the use of Aarogya Setu App.
The DIPROs apprised the Secretary of the activities being carried out by them in districts.
