ITANAGAR, May 12: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) while discussing issues to make Arunachal Pradesh self-sustaining through agriculture and allied sectors with the Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture etc. Er. Tage Taki on Tuesday here at Raj Bhavan, stressed on involving the state’s agrarian community and youths in a more comprehensive manner.
Governor, besides appreciating the minister and his team for their proactive role in ensuring steady supply of agricultural, horticultural, dairy and fishery produces during the lockdown in state, advised him to explore further ways that will ensure a direct purchase system from the farmers and prevent illegal hoardings. Strengthening of demonstration & research farms in districts so that people can procure food stuff from such institutes at times of need, creation of a system for supporting growth, tending and marketing of Big Cardamom to increase farmers’ income were also suggested by the Governor.  
Giving adequate encouragement to the state’s youths to strive for entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors vigorously, motivating the field officers of these sectors to imbibe out of the box professional approach were further suggested by Mishra. 
Earlier, the Minister briefed the Governor about the initiatives taken by the state government in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, veterinary, dairy development and fisheries sectors. PRO Raj Bhavan
