RONO HILLS, Jun 25: A three-day online international webinar on the theme ‘Digital Pedagogy in 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges’ organised by the Department of Education, Rajiv Gandhi University commenced here on Thursday which also saw the release of an e-Souvenir.
Professor Elizabeth Hangsing while welcoming the participants from across the world expressed gratitude to RGU VC Professor Saket Kushwaha for his support and motivation. Professor P K Acharya spoke on the objectives of the seminar and Registrar Professor Tomo Riba emphasised on adjusting with the ‘new normal’ in the education system after the Covid-19 pandemic. Associate Professor Dr. Boa Reena Tok introduced the keynote speaker, Deputy VC, Wawasan Open University, Malaysia Professor Zoraini Wati Abas who motivated the participants to face the new educational challenge thrown by the pandemic and expressed her gratitude to the RGU VC for his support.
Professor Kushwaha congratulated the organising team for bringing up the e-Souvenir and termed it as an innovative idea. Head, Department of Education, RGU Professor Kesang Degi presented the vote of thanks. Media Adviser Dr. Maltesh, technical team, paper presenters and the organising team members also thanked the VC for providing opportunity to the Department of Education to organise six webinars and workshops during the lockdown.
During the three-day webinar, there will be ten sessions to be joined online by eighty-four participants from across the world who will present their papers. The 1st technical session was chaired by Dr. Nisanth PM wherein 10 participants presented their papers. The 2nd technical session was chaired by Professor T.
