MECHUKA, Jul 3: The Shi-Yomi District Olympic Association (SYDOA) on Wednesday observed the International Olympic Day at Mechuka in a befitting manner. 
To mark the occasion, N-95 masks and immunity booster were distributed to the District Administration, Police Force, BRO, Health Department  and public in presence of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent Police of Shi-Yomi District.
Speaker Arunachal Assembly, Pasang D Sona who attended as chief guest, 
advised the public to take utmost precautions against COVID-19. 
'During these difficult times it's important to continue looking after ones physical and mental health," he said while suggesting everyone to eat healthy and nutritious diet, which will help boost the immune system.
He also advised that though Shi Yomi District is in Green Zone yet the cases in the state is rising rapidly and everyone must be vigilant and careful. 
Expressing happiness over the achievement of Shi Yomi District Olympic Association in the last State Olympic Game 2020 where the district bagged many medals in different disciplines, the Speaker said, we must promote such talents to find them amongst the Indian contigent at the future Olympic Games.
Aling Pinggam, President Shi Yomi District Olympic Association also spoke on the occasion.
