ITANAGAR, Sep 24: Technical & interactive sessions marked the second day of the All Headmasters & Principals of GSS/GHSS Conference today here at the Dorjee Khandu auditorium of the State Legislative Assembly.
‘Student Police Cadet’ to be introduced in all educational institutions of Arunachal Pradesh under central funding was deliberated by SP Capital Complex, Tumme Amo who informed that presently the programme is being launched in 52 GHSS/GSS across the state and will be extended to other schools in future. Secretary (Education) Dr Madhu Rani Teotia along with officers of both the Directorates of Secondary & Elementary Education were present in the meeting.
Lod Takar, APCS & Nyali Ete representing CEO & SEC spoke about Electoral Literacy Clubs and Secretary, AAPSA Levy Kety gave explanations regarding planning, organization and functioning of the state’s private schools. He revealed that sincere efforts of teachers followed by parents-teachers-students meetings from time to time are the reasons for better academic results every year by private Schools. Ex-Secretary (Sports & Youth Affairs), GoAP, Dani Sulu suggested the Department of Education to introduce sports as one of the compulsory subject in school curriculum. Standing Counsel of Education Department, Advocate Tagum Jamoh gave a brief presentation on POCSO Act and sensitization about Good Touch & Bad Touch.
DDSE, Pasighat, East Siang District Jongge Yirang, DC, KV Tinsukia Binod Kumar Behra and Education Officer, VKV S. C. Dixit presented ‘Best Practices’ in Districts, Kendriya Vidyalayas and aided schools respectively. Director of Audit and Pension, GoAP Abdul Basit talked about financial norms and audit report. Senior journalist, Arunachal Times, Taba Ajum gave inputs on quality education through the media perspective, while Arindam Chaudhary of SPMU & Hano Taka of the IT Department gave inputs on Public Financial Management System (PFMS) & Government e Marketplace (GeM).
Governor of the state Dr. B.D. Mishra will be the Chief Guest on Wednesday in the valedictory function.
