ITANAGAR, Apr 4: An interaction meeting between Principals and Head Masters of all the schools under Itanagar Capital Complex, Itanagar Municipal Council and District Administration, ICC was held in the Itanagar Municipal Council Hall to develop a detail implementation plan for Swachh Bharat Mission in all the Schools of Itanagar Capital Complex.
The meeting was chaired by Er. Tadar Tarang, Executive Engineer, IMC. Neelam Teji, Circle Officer, Naharlagun, Lily Jomo and Joana Perme Bagang, Ambassador, SBM, Assistant Engineers of IMC and Teachers attended the meeting.
Circle Officer while intimating to all the members present about the various steps under taken by the District Administration for making Itanagar Capital Complex as one of the cleanest Cities in the Country, requested all the members present to inculcate Civic Sense and develop the same in their Students as they are the future. Until and unless we inculcate Civic sense among all the residents of Itanagar Capital Complex we cannot make our city clean, he asserted.
Er. Tadar Tarang, MEE, IMC while highlighting the motive of the meeting requested all the teachers to form Swachhata Committees in their respective schools. He also informed the members present about the importance of source segregation of waste into dry and wet waste and requested all to cooperate with IMC for waste segregation which is mandatory as per the Solid Waste Management Rules.
He further, requested all the Principals, Head Masters & Teachers to cooperate with IMC in Garbage Management Fee Collection.
Principals, Headmasters and Teacher present while appreciating IMC for conducting such programme also placed their grievances in implementation of Swacchh Bharat Mission. They also informed that, as this is examination time many principals and teacher are pre occupied with examination duties and suggested such meeting held in the month of June for maximum participation from Teaching Faculty. To this MEE, IMC assured to take up the matter with competent authorities for resolving the issue at the earliest.
