ITANAGAR, Aug 16: Following the incident wherein the national flag was upside down on unfurling by MLA Dambuk Gum Tayeng on Independence Day, the Superintendent of Police, Lower Dibang Valley has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The SP appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police Roing, Tab Techi as the Enquiry Officer and directed him to submit the report within five days.
Besides inflicting insult to the national flag, the incident has caused great embarrassment to the MLA, and general public who were witnessing the Independence Day celebration at general ground Dambuk, the order stated. Newsdesk
