Aalo, Jun 20: Minister Industry, Textiles Handicraft, Skill Development and Trade & Commerce Er. Tumke Bagra today conducted a threadbare discussion with all HoDs concerning various development and key issues of West Siang district here at DC Conference Hall.
Accompanied by MLAs of 27 Liromoba and Aalo East, Nyamar Karbak and Kento Jini respectively, Bagra said that Sericulture is one of the sector that can be a self- sustainable venture for the people and efforts will be made to take up more tangible schemes in the district. He stressed on the availability of doctors in their places of posting in the peak season of ailments. Responding to establishments of Mini Secretariat, ITI and other infrastructures, he disclosed that land scarcity is a major problem in this regard and many of the government lands are yet to be acquired.
The minister while disclosing that state government has done away with the schemes on piecemeal basis and set a target to submit all need based schemes, asked officers not to prepare schemes at individual levels. Assuring all efforts to develop Aalo township, he announced Rs. 10 lakhs for taking up toilets and other utilities for upcoming Women Police Station at Aalo.   MLA Aalo East, Kento Jini said that a vision plan to revive the lost glory of the oldest district headquarters has been drawn and appealed all to work as a team.
HoDs who participated in the discussion stressed on the need for specialist doctors and mortuary in General Hospital, police force manpower augmentation, posting of Science and Hindi Teachers, creation of a land bank, improvement of township road spanning 95m, water scarcity mitigation, electricity in isolation and grid mode from Siru  Hydel Project, replacement of existing old power equipment etc.
In another meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, all important schemes/projects of various departments under Budget Estimate 2019-20 were placed and all need based viable and feasible schemes were finalized after discussion with all departments. DIPRO
