In a bid to relieve the public from erratic power supply and also to reduce petty crimes, the 13th Kumaon Regiment of Indian Army today installed solar street lights at various important locations at Mechuka town.
Speaking on the installation programme, Colonel Kamal Mishra, CO, 13th Kumaon Regiment highlighted the importance and safety of using solar street lights. He requested the denizens especially youths to keep the town clean and green.
Circle Officer and in-charge ADC Mechukha was also present.
