ITANAGAR, Nov 25: India Post has lifted the second edition of Arunachal Pradesh Central Government Interdepartmental Cricket Series for the second time in a row. In the final match played against Prasar Bharati at APBn Ground in Itanagar today, India Post thrashed Prasar Bharati by 109. Winning the toss India Post elected to bat first and set a huge total of 175 in 20 overs. Skipper Kabit Taki made 26 and Vicky Das scored 28. Nyaken Doke of India Post who took a hatrick in the final match was the Man of the Match and also the Man of the Tournament for his all-round performance through out the series. For Prasar Bharati, Ajeet Gosh made 23 and Rakesh Doley took 2 wickets.
SP (Crime) Headquarters, Jimmy Chiram who attended the presentation ceremony as the chief guest gave away the prizes. The Arunachal Pradesh Central Government Interdepartmental Cricket tournament is an annual event being played among the central government departments in the state. This year three teams- Prasar Bharati, India Post and BSNL participated in the tournament.
