PASIGHAT, Jul 26: The District Task Force on Immunisation (DTFI) Meeting cum Review of Routine Immunisation (RI) was held on Thursday last under the aegis of the District Health Society, East Siang here at the DC Conference Hall.

Reviewing the 1st quarter achievement, DMO, Dr. Kaling asked for achieving 100% coverage both in Ante Natal Registration and in immunization in the district. With first quarter performance of fully immunized infants touching 30 %, he hoped that that the district will achieve the 100% annual target. All Medical Officer-in-Charges  of the peripheral hospitals have also been instructed to conduct awareness generation about Japanese Encephalitis, Dengue, Scrub Typhus and other vector borne diseases. 

District Project Manager Ipi Doke in her PPT highlighted various issues and the need for following Microplans in connection with the implementation  of Routine Immunisation of Children and Pregnant Women. Medical Officers and others also highlighted the requirements and issues in their respective PHCs/CHCs. Newly introduced  Rota Virus Vaccine, introduction of TD vaccine and use of remaining TT Vaccines in stock and timely and regular reporting of AEFI and maintenance of RCH registers were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by the members of DTFI, I/c  DRCHO, Medical Superintendent BPGH, District ASHA Nodal Officer, DRP from Education Department, Programme Executive AIR and DD ICDS among others. DIPRO
