Doimukh, Dec 2: The State Level Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 was launched today here at CHC Doimukh with the administering of OPV to the beneficiaries by Minister, Health & Family Welfare, etc Alo Libang.
DMO Papum Pare Dr Subu Tasso Kampu informed that the district is an IMI district as because it could not reach the immunization target coverage of 90% and  IMI 2.0 aims to cover all the drop-outs, missed-outs, refusal children and pregnant women.  She added that to achieve the target everyone has to perform the individual roles with sincerity and dedication. The district has identified 133 children and 36 pregnant women as targeted beneficiaries and the whole exercise will involve 25 nurses in 55 sessions and will continue up to March 2020. 
MLA 14 -Doimukh AC Tana Hali Tara also attended the programme along with Deputy Commisioner Papum Pare Pige Ligu, Director WCD T.P. Loyi, SDO Doimukh Mokar Riba, DRCHO Dr.Worar Taku, DSO Dr. R.R.Ronya, DANO Dr. Tania Raju, MOIC Dr. Lobsang Chuki and her team.
Meanwhile, IMI 2.0 was also launched today by the Director of Health Services Dr Moromor Lego at Naharlagun helipad near Borum Bridge.
Making the launch, Dr Lego appealed all parents of the state to come forward to get their children full immunized from the vaccine-preventable diseases. 
Reiterating the need of accelerating the process of achieving the targeted 90 % immunization coverage in state, he sought support of all to make the mission successful. While informing that IMI 2.0 will run for 4 months, with 7 working days a month, he stressed on the need of motivating the field level workers for effective implementation of the program in unreached areas.  NO NHM cum SIO Dr D. Padung informed that the mission will entirely focus to cover the left-out and drop-out children in 0-2 year age group including pregnant women and shared the statistics that the current full immunization coverage is 78 % in state and still there are children who are yet to be immunized through regular routine immunization sessions. DMO Itanagar Capital Complex Dr Mandip Perme encouraged all health officials, ASHAs ANMs and AWWs to work sincerely to achieve the target and create general awareness among public.
IMI 2.0 will consist of four rounds and will continue till March 4 2020 and after completion of these rounds, the state will undertake further measures to sustain the gain derived from it a through follow-up monitoring and evaluation survey.
