ITANAGAR, Apr 11:

 

Chief Municipal executive officer, Habung Lampung on Tuesday asked the NGOs and SHGs who have been outsourced to collect garbage on door to door basis in 13 wards to be motivated with positive attitude so that they can also motivate the workers and public on the ground.

Interacting with NGOs here in review meeting to discuss the progress of clean Itanagar movement launched by IMC, Lampung pointed out that to initiate any new system it takes a lot of effort and therefore we need to carry forward door to door in more proper and systematized manner so that city becomes cleaner.

He also requested NGOs and IMC staffers to work in coordination.

 

 

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Chief Councillor, Tarh Nachung asked the NGO to work in 2 shifts so that the city remains clean 24x7.

During the meeting representatives of all 13 NGOs shared their views and suggested how to improvise the door to door system.

Few problems cited by NGOs are insufficient vehicles and improper maintenances of drains and lack of public cooperation in many localities.

Further reviewing the problem put forth by various NGOs, Nachung assured to address various grievances and suggested that NGOs should maintain proper records of all the labourers engaged by them.

The meeting was also attended by Er. Michi Omo, Assistant Engineer municipal.
