ITANAGAR, Apr 3: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducted its 32nd annual convocation today simultaneously at its headquarters in New Delhi and in all 57 Regional Centres of the country including Itanagar. The main function was held in IGNOU headquarters, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi where Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu attended as chief guest and delivered the convocation address. For the recipients of degrees enrolled under Regional Centre, Itanagar the convocation function was held in the Lecture Hall-II of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Naharlagun. Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University Professor Saket Kushwaha graced the occasion as guest of honour. 26 students received degrees and 2828 students were awarded their degrees in absentia. The convocation function was also attended by invitees from state government and faculty of TRIHMS, D.N. Government College and Rajiv Gandhi University. IGNOU Itanagar Press Release
