Itanagar, Jan 16: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI in partnership with Seeking Modern Applications For Real Transformation (SMART) will be organizing a three-day Community Radio Awareness Workshop here in the state capital from January 20-22.
The workshop aims to sensitize interested organizations about the concept of Community Radio, which is a proven low cost yet high reach platform for development of marginalized and vulnerable communities.
Application process, operation procedure including technology, content and its unique aspects like community ownership etc, will be among the topics that will be covered during the workshop. Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Atul Kumar Tiwari will be present during inaugural session. Around 50 organisations are expected to participate in the workshop.
