3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
BOMDILA, Nov 5: Hundreds of public including students, Community based organizations, AAPSU members ,former political leaders participated in the rally organized in protest against the incident of November 3 where the Arunacahl Scouts jawans vandalized the Police station and assaulted Deputy Commissioner and SP, West Kameng.
Holding placards and banners, the public shouted slogans against the act and demanded transfer of Arunachal Scouts from Bomdila.
Addressing the gathering, Ajit Sidisow, AGS, AAPSU condemned the incident and opined that such incident is not acceptable in a democratic country and it is a threat to democracy. The incident has created sense of fear-psychosis amongst the residents of Bomdila, he said.
Former MP, RK Khirme while condemning the incident also appealed both the forces to maintain discipline.
Meanwhile, a joint memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister's Office.
On November 3 last hundreds of Jawans from 2nd Arunachal Scouts vandalized the Police station, assaulted DC and SP in retaliation to the incident that happened at Buddha Mahotsava ground on November 2 where two jawans of AS were detained by civil Police for creating trouble at the festival venue.
