KIMIN, May 18: Hundreds of locals, officials of various government departments including security personnel stationed at Kimin voluntarily took part in the “clean Kudh River” here today. The participating members also planted saplings on both sides of the riverbank.
Participating in the drive, BJP contesting candidate from 14 Doimukh assembly constituency, Tana Hali Tara lauded the initiatives of the administration and appealed everyone to conserve nature, its beauty to maintain the ecology.
Kimin, ADC In-charge, Likha Teji while pointing out that green revolution is the best solution for controlling any kind of pollution, he emphasized on planting more trees everywhere while terming it as a lifelong investment.
Stating that the quality of a stream or river indicates the way of life within a community through which it flows, he stressed on protecting water sources from pollution. He further appealed the state government and district administration to draw out proper measure, plan, and schemes to protect the Kudh river and its source.
